This mirror looks beautiful - just like in the product picture - and was very easy to install.Shipping is REALLY expensive, but you'll see why when it arrives. It is packed in a custom-made wooden packing crate that provides excellent protection for this large piece of glass, and the whole thing is really heavy - you UPS driver will probably hate you! But mine (both of them - I ordered 2) arrived in perfect condition.Like so many products these days, this one is made in China. :-( But comparing to similar products from Electric Mirror, this one was less than half the price, and I just didn't want to spend more. On the bright side, this mirror comes in many more sizes than its more expensive competitor, which was also a factor for me since I had 2 very specific spaces to put them in. I got both this size 32x40 and the 40x40 model.Mounting was easy: Just 4 screws to hold the frame to the wall, then you just hang the mirror on the frame (which was the scariest part of the project for me, because I was terrified of dropping it, but it was very easy to do).Because this mirror is lighted, you'll need to provide AC wiring to the middle of the frame, i.e. behind the very center of the mirror, and hard-wire the wires for the LED lighting to the AC power. I had an electrician do that for me, but I did all the rest quite easily.Installation hint: This mirror comes in a really heavy wooden box (on which the seller has thoughtfully written "open this side" on the side you should open). UPS delivered the crate to my garage door, and I could just barely move them into my garage. I suggest that you open the crate where it was delivered, unpack the mirror, and carry it inside by itself - it doesn't weigh all that much and thus is much easier to move. Just be careful! The installed mirror really looks great, so why only 4 stars? Because it's just not bright enough for me. Illumination is provided by a string of LED lights behind the mirror, which are energy-efficient and make the mirror look great, but I had been hoping for more brightness. The glass is very poor quality. When cleaning with a good glass cleaner and soft cloth, dust and smudges get permanently embedded in the mirror with no way to clean it. Streaks are permanently embedded in the edges also after attempting to clean with a standard name brand glass cleaner and soft towel. The borders also have undesirable imperfections clearly visible when light is on.It's a very nice looking mirror and I love how it upgrades the look of my bathroom. I wish that the LED lighting was brighter to apply makeup but it really isn't. I am considering adding sconces to the sides to make it brighter or buying a nice LED makeup mirror so add the lighting that I need. The LED lights are literally wrapped around the base frame. I'm wondering if you can actually find brighter LEDS and just replace these. The install took a little longer because of my electrical setup but once the contractor figured that it out, it worked. I was a little surprised that the front facing part of the mirror literally can be lifted off by just pulling it up off of the brackets. When I clean the mirror, it moves around a bit but I know well enough now that I can't move it around too much. If a guest decided to see if the mirror opened up as a medicine cabinet, if they pulled it hard enough from the side, it is "possible" that it could come off of the wall. But that hasn't happened, so...For the money, this is a great mirror. But if you are looking to have it bright enough to apply makeup, consider that you may have to add additional lighting.I looked at many, many mirrors before settling on this one and I'm glad I put in the research - this mirror is exactly what I wanted. The light took some getting used to, as I had incandescent lighting in the bathroom before. It's not exactly what I expected but it's grown on me. The mirror is in a half-bath, so it's not used for anything other than looking in while washing hands. I don't know that I'd like this type of light in my regular bathroom where I put on makeup, etc. I like that the mirror is wired in directly to the wall switch and does NOT have an on/off button on the surface of the mirror. It was also very easy to install. The shipping is rather expensive but they did a great job packaging it and it arrived without a scratch. Considering the reasonable price of the mirror, it wasn't a big deal to pay a little more for shipping. It comes packed in a wooden crate. I replaced a recessed medicine cabinet with this LED mirror, and reinforced the studs for hanging. The frame looks aluminum and well made. Some of the screws that holds the frame together are crooked with 1 stripped screw, but the frame does lay flat and plumb. The mirror itself is of great quality and is well made. Now description says 6500 lumens at 48 watts, but seems much dimmer. Old fashioned 60W bulbs give off around 400 lumens, but this is nowhere close to 16 of those 60W bulbs, more like 1-2. The lighting is nice and even, so it's flattering but dim for a half bath. The nice part is if the LEDs go bad, you can reach them and replace them. Customer service is excellent and replies are fast.came with a chipped corner. We contacted the company, but we had thrown away the box before we took off the protective corner pieces and couldn't prove it had been damaged in shipping. Instead of spending $200 for another piece of glass, my wife was able to buy decorative corner pieces for it that covered up the chipped corner, and actually added to the aesthetics of the mirror. The mirror and frame itself seem to be very well made, and the light is perfectly bright.I wanted to increase the brightness of my mirrors. So, I called the seller to order an additional strip of LEDs. They were so kind, responsive and great to work with.
