I reviewed a lot of mirrors and reviews on each. I am so glad I ordered this mirror. The number one factor that helped me make my decision was the lumens. I submitted the question on lumens and if this mirror would be sufficient enough light to replace my overhead light and the response I received from mirrors and marble was it would need the additional light. The seller was being conservative as I can understand, but in fact the lighting is awesome! This mirror provides just as I suspected; enough lighting to light my bathroom and serves the purpose in which I bought it for. I wanted a mirror that would replace my old mirror and the outdate light fixture. My bathroom has transformed into a high end hotel. The compliments I have received are all the rave and this mirror really sets it off.I wanted to add photos, but can't seem to get the photo button to work. I may try at a later time.We recently purchased two of these mirrors for a master bath remodel. I had seen something similar at a Marriott Resort. They arrived promptly, were packed very well and look beautiful. However, they are not as bright as the ones we had originally seen (but we also learned that the model we had seen would have cost three times the price). We ended up putting can halogen lights over the sinks to add additional brightness and that is working fine, although I would still not describe the effect as VERY bright. I may purchase a small lighted make-up mirror as a supplement. When we first mounted the mirrors and became concerned with the level of light, I contacted the supplier directly and they were extremely helpful and courteous. They made suggestions for supplemental lighting and also encouraged me to return the fixtures if they were not what we wanted.Aesthetically the mirrors are just beautiful and add a very elegant touch to our new master bath. The LED lights are very white, so that needs to be taken into account in the overall design scheme.Don't get me wrong, we love the look of the mirror. However, when planning the lighting needs for our master bath I took the "Approximate lumens: 7480" in the product description at face value. It's nowhere near that bright - it's probably closer to 800 lumens (60 watts incandescent). According to a Mirrors and Marble rep I spoke with, the 7480lm is before the led strip is installed on the mirror. Which is very misleading and doesn't help the consumer at all. We bought these mirrors based on the look and the 7480 lumens. It's interesting that now (after I purchased 2 mirrors) there's a new upgrade to double the light output. But if I have our contractor install the upgrade, the warranty on the electronic component will be void. Not happy.Update!Bought our mirror in 2015 and it is still going strong!! If your even thinking about buying one, You won't be sorry you did!!Ordered this mirror and picture does not do it justice! looks fantastic. We put Travertine stone on the wall its mounted and gives it a great Wow factor I Called with questions I had before ordering and seller was very helpfull. The way it was packed and shipped was a concern for me until I got it, this thing was packed and crated to the hilt. Installation was a breeze, and everyone that has seen it has been blown away at it.Plan on buying another for our other bath, when we start on that project.I have had my mirror installed now for about 2 months and I absolutely love it! It casts a soft, soothing glow over the room at night yet when combined with the overhead light is fine for morning makeup application. It would not be sufficient as the only light in a bathroom but it is truly beautiful. Was solidly packed in a crate with clear instructions how to open. Seller emailed me to be sure to note which side of box to open. Great customer service, quick ship, great value. Would totally buy this again if doing another bathroom. Highly recommended.Nice mirror came in perfect condition, just as expected. Its a quality made item and the lighting looks very good in modern bathroom setting! Please note that this light around the bathroom mirror is not actually a bathroom light so you do need bathroom lighting as well. The mirror looks great!! The amount of light is soft but not strong enough to light up the entire bathroom on its own. I added a can light for extra light. The mirror is also large enough. Any larger, and it would have been too much for our 5' x 8' bathroom. Very light and easy to install. Install instructions simple to understand. Shipping container solid plywood and arrived on time.We first bought a 48"x40" side-lighted LED mirror for our master bathroom and liked it so much we bought a 24"x36" one for another bathroom. We first saw side-lighted mirrors in hotels, but these had fluorescent bulbs whose light is not as natural as the light from these LED mirrors. We were worried that these would require rewiring, but the contractor who installed them said that the installation was very easy. We are totally satisfied with both of our side-lighted LED mirrors.
